Holland Development, LLC leverages the skills and abilities of an existing Boston construction company and its staff of design and engineering professionals to deliver exceptional residential housing. It specializes in remodeling nineteenth-century townhouses in the South End, Back Bay and Beacon Hill.
Holland Development was founded in response to the market need for high-quality residential construction in affluent urban Boston areas. It is a direct offshoot of M. Holland & Sons Construction, Inc., a 40-year-old family-owned-and-managed general construction company and its resident design and engineering professionals. Its mission is to provide high-quality, historically designed residential housing.
With more than 100 years of combined experience in the design, engineering and construction industries, Holland Development and M. Holland & Sons Construction have managed hundreds of residential and commercial projects. It offers a unique combination of services to buyers by providing historical designs, sound re-engineering and quality construction in highly sought-after and difficult building environments like the Back Bay, South End and Beacon Hill.
Meet Our Team
John Holland
John Holland is a registered architect and a licensed builder with over 16 years experience in designing and building residential projects at M. Holland & Sons Construction, Inc. He is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology. In his role as Manager at Holland Development, John leads projects from the purchase/financing stage through the design/construction and sale, working directly with consulting engineers, building officials, the trades and prospective buyers.

Joseph Holland
With over 12 years experience in building heavy civil and residential construction, Joseph Holland is an engineer and licensed builder. Prior to joining Holland Development, he was with J. F. Construction Company. Working directly with consulting engineers, building officials, the trades and prospective buyers as Project Manager at Holland Development, Joe leads projects from the mobilization stage through the construction and sale.

Michael Holland
Michael Holland is a licensed builder with over 18 years experience in building residential and commercial projects at M. Holland & Sons Construction, Inc. Michael is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. As Project Manager at Holland Development, Michael is involved from the bidding stage through construction, working directly with the owners, architects, engineers and building officials as well as the trades.

Paul Holland
A graduate of University of Massachusetts, with his Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern, Paul Holland is an engineer and licensed builder. With over 13 years experience in building heavy civil and residential construction, Paul coordinates projects from the engineering design stage through construction as Engineer and Project Manager at Holland Development. Working directly with building officials, the historical commissions and subcontractors, he joins Holland Development after five years with Barletta Engineering Corporation.
